Message From the Principal

Welcome to Aquinas!

Aquinas is a great place to be. At Aquinas there is a serious and disciplined environment where teachers are dedicated to educating the whole child. We are a place of scholars, artists, state championship teams and sectional title holders. We are also a place that values family, tradition, and diversity. The Aquinas motto “Credo quid quid dixit dei filius” – I believe whatever the Son of God has said – reinforces our commitment to gospel values and to our mission as a Catholic school. Our Catholic Identity is at the core of our mission. It is also present in the Basilian tradition rooted in their motto “teach me goodness, discipline, and knowledge” which is central to our mission.

With over 19,000 alumni, and a tradition that spans over 120 years, Aquinas has been and remains a difference-maker and a trend-setter as a Catholic school in the Rochester community. As a member of the Aquinas family, you are cherished and you are an integral part of the community and the legacy of the Aquinas tradition. Being a part of Aquinas is about being part of a faith-centered community with a rich tradition and a strong mission. The gospels and the charisms of the Basilian Fathers and the Sisters of Saint Joseph are part of the foundation for everything we do. The people in our community bring our mission to life and help us to celebrate our diversity in a manner that is just and creates a true sense of belonging that is best summarized as the Aquinas Family.

You will find Aquinas alumni in almost every walk of life and they are proud to share their AQ experience. Our mission, our faith, our students and families, our commitment to tradition, and our pursuit of excellence are our greatest strengths. Be AQ PROUD!
